Four inspiring days at Nordbygg have come to an end -and what a great time it was.
This year’s edition brought plenty of meaningful meetings, insightful conversations, and valuable exchanges with both long-standing partners and new contacts. We were glad to reconnect face-to-face and to introduce our POLFLAM solutions to a wide group of professionals exploring innovative fire-resistant glass solutions.

Remarkable UV resistance of POLFLAM fire-resistant glass has been officially confirmed by independent testing institute ICiMB, with our standard POLFLAM EI 30 fire-resistant glass enduring 4,000 hours of UV exposure — twice the requirement of EN ISO 12543-4:2022-05.

Ein Riesenerfolg – nicht anders lässt sich die diesjährige BAU in München für POLFLAM auf den Punkt bringen. An allen Tagen war unser Messestand ein lebendiger Treffpunkt für Besucher aus aller Welt – von Europa über Asien und Nordamerika bis nach Afrika. Wir hatten die Gelegenheit, bestehende Partnerschaften zu vertiefen und neue vielversprechende Kontakte zu knüpfen. Besonders gefreut haben uns die inspirierenden Gespräche mit Architekten, Designern und Investoren über höchste Brandschutz- und Umweltstandards. Denn hier bieten wir Lösungen. Unsere Brandschutzverglasungen zeichnen sich dabei nicht nur durch herausragende optische Eigenschaften aus, sondern werden auch im Hinblick auf Funktionalität und Umweltverträglichkeit höchsten Anforderungen gerecht.
Nach offiziellen Angaben des Veranstalters wurde die BAU 2025 vom 11. bis 15. Januar mit 2230 Ausstellern aus 58 Ländern von über 180000 Menschen besucht, von denen 44 % aus dem Ausland anreisten.
Besonderes Highlights an unserem Stand waren POLFLAM GAIA, das erste kohlenstoffarme Brandschutzglas der Welt, sowie unser Spitzenprodukt, das rahmenlose Brandschutglassystem BR für Trennwände mit beeindruckenden Dimensionen. Vor Ort standen unsere Technologieexperten Seite an Seite mit den Handelsvertretern für unsere Schlüsselmärkte Rede und Antwort. So entwickelten sich intensive fachliche Gespräche über die individuellen Anforderungen unserer Kunden in den jeweiligen Ländern.

Vor gut einem Jahr wurden die beiden neuen Bauartgenehmigungen (aBG)
Z-19.14-2650 – POLFLAM Timber F30
Z-19.14-2658 – POLFLAM Timber F90
für POLFLAM Brandschutzverglasungen in Holzrahmen vorgestellt.
Die beiden Brandschutzverglasungssysteme – jetzt auch in Nadelholz ≥ 430 kg/m² ausführbar – bieten nicht nur kompromisslose Glasgrößen in Kombination mit schlanken Profilen, sondern auch jetzt mit nachweislich beeindruckenden Schalldämmprüfergebnissen des Gesamtbauteils bis zu Rw 55 (-3;-7) dB.
Der Schallschutz ist ein wichtiger Aspekt bei der heutigen Gebäudeplanung, um eine gesunde Arbeitsumgebung zu gewährleisten. Die neuen Schalldämmergebnisse ermöglichen damit einen erweiterten Anwendungsbereich der Brandschutzverglasungen gerade bei hohen Schalldämm-Anforderungen.
Die Schalldämmprüfungen wurden bei der PfB GmbH & Co. [Link to PfB] – Prüfzentrum für Bauelemente KG – durchgeführt und die Übersicht der gemessenen Schalldämm-Maße der Gesamtbauteile mit verschiedenen Glastypen ist beeindruckend!
Nachhaltigkeit und Beständigkeit haben für uns einen sehr hohen Stellenwert. Mit den allgemeinen Bauartgenehmigungen können Elemente aus nachwachsenden Rohstoffen von Unternehmen vor Ort hergestellt und montiert werden.

During the latest test our well-known frameless system POLFLAM BR EI 120 with an impressive glass dimensions of 4.000 mm × 2.500 mm (landscape format) has been fire-tested at the test institute DMT in Lathen. The partition retained its fire resistance performance for more than two hours.
The use of frameless systems ensures maximum transparency and facilitates the creation of appealing interior designs, while maintaining resistance to fire up to EI 120. More often large fire-resistant glass panes are required in landscape format to create an unlimited transparent view in buildings without any framing and with as minimal glass to glass connections as possible.
POLFLAM BR fire-resistant glass is available in extra-large dimensions: 4.000 mm × 2.500 mm (landscape format), 2.400 mm × 4.000 mm and 2.000 mm × 4.800 mm (portrait format).
POLFLAM has successfully completed a series of fire tests on timber partitions for classifications EW 30, EW 60, EI 30, EI 60, EI 90 and EI 120. These are intended for use in rigid and lightweight supporting constructions. The fire tests were carried out in various notified fire test laboratories in Poland and Germany, and the final test of the series (a partition with POLFLAM® EI 120) took place on June 7.

Our new production facility allows us to increase production capacity and to better serve the needs of our customers across Europe and the Middle East.
After four days of meetings, good conversations and very interesting discussions, the 2022 Nordbygg building and construction fair in Stockholm has come to a close. We had the opportunity to meet our partners and customers again. We were also able to introduce our POLFLAM products to many potential new clients!
