The concert hall of the Silesian Philharmonic is the oldest concert hall in Katowice. The building was renovated and expanded between 2010 and 2014.
The window arches in a side facade of the building have been filled with POLFLAM® fire-resistant glass. As well as protecting against fire, for this facility an important feature of the glass was its perfect acoustic insulation. POLFLAM® standard fire-resistant glass can reach noise control levels of up to 45 dB, subject to the fire-resistance class.
