POLFLAM glass in facades – top-end requirements

Glass elevations are a determinant of contemporary architectural designs. Façade glazing is, however, quite a challenge, because in addition to all the aesthetic advantages, they must be characterized by parameters that allow obtaining the most advantageous energy balance of the building. A snapshot from FeuerTRUTZ 2018

FeuerTRUTZ is the third fair in Germany where POLFLAM presented its solutions, and the first specialised event devoted to fire-resistant technologies in construction industry.

We, first of all, showed glass to be fixed in the frameless system and POLFLAM F glass to be used in ceilings and stairs, of the load-bearing capacity as high as 5 kN/m2.

Here is a snapshot from FeuerTRUTZ 2018: Claudia Prucha, general representative of POLFLAM in Germany, speaks about the solutions that are most popular among German architects and investors.

Modern glass processing centre, i.e., another capital investment of POLFLAM’s

The technology line at POLFLAM production plant shall be expanded by a new tool, i.e., a glass processing centre. Thanks to its efficiency, the multi-function device used for drilling, edging and polishing of glass edges, shall adjust to our intense production pace. The machine allows for large glass panels, up to 3500 x 2200 mm, of various shapes to be processed.

Resistant to fire, resistant to noise

Reduction of noise is one of the key issues for modern architecture. Therefore, construction materials are selected based on their soundproofing and sound absorbing features, including other basic functions, like fire-resistant glass.
POLFLAM® fire-resistant glass has perfect soundproofing parameters, including those recommended for areas of particular noise load.

New investments – a new era in POLFLAM’s history

Only a year ago was a modern technological line launched in the newly built hall, while another production facility is about to open in Runów, equipped with the state-of-the-art machinery for production of fire-resistant glass. The potential of the new facility will allow POLFLAM to double its production capacity.
